On our way back to Pavlosk

God has blessed me (and us) more than I ever imagined. This year, even more so with my walk with Him through the valley of cancer. He has stretched me and gotten me to go and do such things as I never would have done on my own. God has also put in my heart a longing love for the Russian people, you know, the ones we “hated” as we grew up. Who would have guessed that I, a “content to stay at home” type of person, would one day want to travel to Russia to encourage my brothers and sisters in the Lord (both there and here). It’s an adventure that I love to share! Want to join me?? Is He calling you to come? Stepping out “of the boat” could change your life. For more info, give me a call today!
This fall, I have the privilege of returning to Pavlovsk from Sept. 3 - 13. We will work with Kazbek, a local pastor that has been nurturing friendships in his local community. His “prayer house” is a grass roots effort to expose those who are currently steeped (and trapped) in atheism or cultural orthodoxy, to the loving grace of our precious Lord Jesus Christ. The steps from cultural Russian orthodoxy are particulary difficult for most that we meet. Valodia (on the right) is a man we shared the gospel with, using a flashlight as an illustration. As he struggled with the decision, we challenged him with a gift of a flashlight. He agreed not to open the flashlight until he chose to accept Christ. It is still hanging on his wall as a continual reminder that Christ died for his sins and that He wants to let His light shine through him.
Please pray that he will take that step of faith.
